unforgettable memorial day

yesterday, we planned a fun day bbq and being outside at my sister's house in osky. we headed out in the morning in time for lunch and lounging until 5-6ish and we we're gonna head home and order a pizza. we got to blakesburg (just over half way) and all of a sudden, when eric accelerated the rpm's when through the roof but the tires weren't rotating. ya know how when your chain slips off your bike and you can peddle the daylights out of ya but nothing happens, that's what was happening. we coasted over to the side (thankfully in the town!) and called dad to save the day. he headed on his way to come get us. called our mechanic, denny, and decided what to do about towing it and figuring out how to get home last night. well dad was also doing the same thing on his way here. he's such a good problem solver. and uncle tim ( my brother in law) is also such a good car person and has major connections! so we were in good hands!

so the car is now in our driveway, waiting patiently to get into the shop thursday morning. it's going to be a looooooooong wait waiting for the diagnosis. we are praying it's not the whole transmission and it's parts that can be replaced! *sigh* waiting another week or two before we order the computer now! man!!!!!!

it was a beautiful day and lunch was delicious! lizzie had fun playing outside and she did swing on my lap on the big kid swings. so maybe just maybe she's swing by herself someday. : ) she's still a tad young before they tend to like the outdoor baby swings so i hear...
